Innovative design concept. Nice pool to cool off in. Rural location. Direction signs on the roads that led there.

One minor thing was the shower was a bit small for me.

A chic little oasis on the edge of Puerto Escondido run by an incredibly attentive, helpful and welcoming family - they assisted us with a lot during our stay, without a problem. The rooms are small but very clean and stylish, and the pool is gorgeous! Food is simple but good.

The design of the 4 rooms on the property means you won’t have much privacy with the blinds open - glass walls with stairs in front used by other guests. However the place was so cool that it didn’t bother us, and all of the rooms have blinds - just means you can’t wake up to the lovely ocean view.

Super peaceful and remote. Cool to stay in container. On site chef and staff were great. Never had to leave as they took care of everything. Pool and view were lovely!

We are older and there were plenty of stairs. Also, we now know the containers are a bit small for us but we really loved giving them a try. Always live curious.

We had a great stay at CABANE Container Hotel. Our room had a view of the water and a hammock outside, and we liked the artwork on the feature wall and the pool. The food was also great - we had breakfast included but also had lunch there and were served a delicious octopus dish and fresh fish. The chef is great. There is also a sweet little chihuahua and a cat which is always good in my books.

The design concept of the hotel is very cool and elegantly executed. It is eclectic and homely. Great breakfast in the restaurant, plenty of choice and very healthy portions. The location is very peaceful - just 4/5 mins walk to a completely deserted beach.

The location was lovely but wouldn’t suit everyone. Getting to town involves a very splashy scramble over rocks which, though we loved it, would not work for the elderly or those wishing to stay dry! The only alternative is taxis to town. There is no fitness centre as described, but just one lifting bar outside the restaurant. The restaurant experience was mixed. We had one delicious meal but another quite disastrous - we waited a long time to be served only to be told there was very little available from the menu.

Amazing little hotel with great and kind team! very close to an empty beautiful beach. The kitchen is extraordinary as well.
