I have to write that this is my only disappointment with a Marriott property. I redeemed my annual 'free nigh', which comes with my annual credit card fee which gives me nothing. When I phoned the previous evening to redeem, I spent 19 minutes on the phone. I was required to provide a 'security code,' via email, as my phone number changed and was not recognized. . Most of us have dropped our land lines. It should be a simple procedure to change it . We arrived early. I explained to the clerk that I understood that our early arrival was our fault, and, I understood that a room could not be guaranteed. We were put in a room. I told the clerk we had a cat. It was a $54.00 fee with tav for a cat in a cage. That seems excessive. The room smelled of mold. Although clean otherwise. After showering, I noticed the bottle of skin cream moisturizer was empty. Obviously, all used by previous guests. I can honestly write that my 'free night' cost me more than the paid night we spent the previous night in a much nicer property. I would appreciate a contact from an executive of Marriott to resolve this matter. I deserve free night back . Shame on Marriott.
