the old house and the gardens, having a chimney, the games room, pets accepted, breakfast

it was near a place were parties take place and it was noisy, the house was a bit too cold, the menu was not something that called my attention

everthing was fantastic. staff, accomodations.

The staff was wonderful. They worked very hard to make everything perfect. They came at dinnertime, and lit a fire and placed hot water bottles in the bed.

We loved the fireplace in the room and the hot water bottles they put in your bed at night. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around the gardens. We also loved the dogs, especially Toby! We miss him!

We booked this hotel at short notice after a long day in the Andes. It is super peaceful, the rooms are separate cottage like buildings with a log fire, which was lit for us whilst we had dinner, so returning to a toasty warm room after dinner was a delight. The restaurant is a fine dining experience, but priced remarkably competitively. The only possible down, was there was no WiFi in the room, albeit available in reception, and our local cell service provider also had no service. But a night without distractions from the outside world was kind of refreshing, we should try it more often.
