My sister and I stayed at the lodge, so we booked both rooms for our 1 night stay. Primary reason for booking is that the property rooms are both on ground level, no stairs to climb, although there is one step to enter the building. Both rooms are lovely and spacious and windows facing onto garden outlook. No noise from any passing traffic is heard in the rooms, and actual traffic flow is minimal and sparse by our experience. Breakfast is served in the Cafe as part of the booking, and is scrumptious! Excellent hot showers. Nice pub across the road with excellent evening meal food.

It was disappointing that by accident I only booked for one night rather than the 2 - we would have happily stayed the extra evening.

The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely stay at Pantile Lodge. We arrived in the evening after the cafe had closed, but we were met in the carpark and shown to our lovely room in the lodge. Cold milk and water in the fridge was appreciated, as were the biscuits! Excellent breakfast (the local porridge especially) and a very quiet and comfy night's sleep. The evening drive over to Millfield from the A1 is stunning, into the evening sun. The pub across the road was friendly and had decent bitter on tap. The small castle and pretty village street of Etal is about a 10-minute drive north and worth a quick stop. Great local shop and post office, and a thatched pub.

East check in, clean and comfortable, great breakfast.
