Wilpattu Tree House

Die Lage ist super. Direkt am Wilpattu Park. Süßes Häuschen und sehr nettes Personal. Das Essen war auch ok, jedoch etwas zu teuer

De lokatie van Wilpattu Treehouse is geweldig. Het ligt letterlijk aan de rand van het nationale park, afgelegen van de weg. Wij hadden Treehouse 3 en 4, dus één heel huis aan de rand van het veld voor het hotel, dit is zijn beste kamers. Het personeel was super vriendelijk en deed enorm hun best om het verblijf zo goed mogelijk te maken. De apen sprongen door de bomen en de Malabar Pied Hornbill kwam regelmatig voor de hut. We hebben nog een fietstocht en dag safari gemaakt. Tussen 06:30 en 18:30 kan je ook in de omgeving wandelen (erbuiten niet ivm olifanten), langs het meer lopen en je ziet er de lokale bevolking baden met de krokodillen 100 meter verderop.

Het enige wat soms onduidelijk was, was wat er beschikbaar was voor het middag of avond eten. Dit is eenvoudig te op te lossen door het van te voren goed af te spreken met het personeel.

Lovely to sit outside for breakfast and watch the wildlife, especially the hornbills. Two minutes drive from the national park. The hotel prepared a lovely packed breakfast and lunch for our safari day.

The garden view was not scenic, so we kept the curtains closed

A fantastic location and amazing staff that will do all they can for you to have the best stay possible. On our first night, we were taken out for a walk to the lake from one of the members of staff and we saw elephants, lots of birds and crocodiles. What a start. From the balcony of our treehouse, we got to see elephants walking across the field and a range of birds flying about. The whole time we were there, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. We booked a full day safari through the hotel and the experience was amazing. A lovely breakfast and lunch for the trip were provided along with refreshments for the day. The staff could not do enough for you. The treehouse itself was lovely. A unique place to stay in a spectacular setting. Highly recommended.
