Gerd and Noi Resort Khao Lak

Stayed here for a few hours while waiting for another hotel room ready to check in. The staff/owner of the hotel is super helpful and attentive. He served his guests with a great heart. The room is newly renovated and very clean. Most people staying there seem to be revisiting the place and staying for a long period. They all look happy.

good clean individual cabins, and good value. slightly dated in style but all clean with aircon in a nice garden setting. very close to the beach across the road. breakfast option is good but after that only simple bar menu by the pool. however all the main bars and restaurants only a 5 mins work away

It wasn’t easy to choose hotel in Kao Lak. We revised a number of places, from very beginning I wanted to book Gerd and Noi. But TripAdvisor rating wasn’t high, what was confusing and I hesitated. Finally I decided not to believe bad reviews and booked the place. And I was absolutely right! I don’t understand why rating is low and do believe that people will share their positive impressions of such lovely hotel. It’s value for the budget - simple, clean, family-own and felt like home. I like everything about this place - friendly owner’s family and their lovely children, my baby girl was so happy to meet little Anda, clean and nice bungalows, green territory and good location. In this price category the resort is an excellent choice in Khao Lak. I prefer a hotel/resort with these separate bungalows instead of a building plenty of rooms where you will always hear your neighbours. As I was there for diving, I was all day gone and only needed the bungalow for a good night rest. And I got that. It’s outdated but clean, a good (silent) aircon and a friendly staff. So excellent price/quality ratio.

This is our seventh stay and have met so many great people. It has now become an annual reunion to meet all the many people from many countries that have become friends . Gerd and Noi are like a second home to us run by a lovely family. It is very relaxing serving a good breakfast and with a nice pool or the beach to relax on. We have already booked for next year and can’t wait to return

With some work and maintenance this would be a nice place. Rooms are kept clean but has lots of small flaws and blemishes. Aircon didnt work and loose fittings in the bathroom. Bungalows feels a bit cramped together. Perfect location if you want to be close to both beach and shopping possibilities, plenty of good restaurants in the area. Decent breakfast choices.

Our fifth visit and booked again for next year. A well run family resort. So accommodating and friendly. We have met returning guests over the years and it has become an annual gathering. Can’t wait to return and stay longer. Excellent breakfast freshly prepared with very good cocktails and smoothies. Rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding. Outstanding 😀

Nice little place close to the beach (well, the beach has washed away, so you have to take a bit of a walk!) and restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the 'resort' itself was very quiet. Pool was large and clean. Breakfast was ok, but from what we found in Khao Lak, food doesn't seem to be a big focus. Coffee was pretty low quality instant, but that's also how it is in a lot of places as well. Like other said, the manager (owner?) isn't incredibly outgoing or welcoming, but I think that maybe he's just exhausted or shy? Overall, great little place.

Very clean and practical rooms. Nice refrigerator in the room that keeps your drinks cool. Complimentary water bottles made available every day. Bed was comfortable and soft. Nice and quiet at night. Great choice.
