Staff were very helpful and welcoming . Linen and towels were changed daily.

Great value hotel in the heart of agios nikolaos, within walking distance of lake and beaches. If you want 5* then this hotel is not for you Rooms were very clean , staff from cleaning to bar were all brilliant and made our stay great We went all-inclusive, always something you could eat

We arrived and were greeted with extremely friendly professionalism. We were allocated a 3rd floor room but as my wife is claustrophobic she cant use a lift. She gave the stairs a try but as we are in our mid 60s it would have been too much several times a day. No problem, new room on 1st floor. Beds and pillows the most comfortable we've experienced in 17yrs visiting the Islands, room a nice size, bathroom smallish but beautifully formed.....its a shower room, not a party room ! We needed a few more clothes hangers, asked at reception and seconds after getting back to my room..knock knock and the lovely housekeeper handed me half a dozen, thats quick ! ALL the staff were professional and genuinely friendly as per usual with Greeks. Manger, front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, barstaff worked together like a well oiled machine, something rarely experienced in the UK. They all have extreme pride in doing a great job. The food was always hot, fresh and tasty, with something for every palate. It must be extremely difficult catering for international customers, and anyone complaining about the food needs to look how much they are paying and shut up ! We are beer drinkers and the cretan on tap was lovely. Had chats and banter with Demitris and Maria ( apologies Demitris i didn't get to say good bye ) Cocktails are extra, again reflected in what we paid. Happy hour was between 20:00 and 22:00 €7 each so i took a look, unfortunately my go to ' espresso martini ' wasn't on the list, Maria looked it up, " yes we have, yes, yes,yes, we have everything needed, shall i make you one? " "Yes please" ....and another.....and another, they were spot on, fantastic work, go girl ! Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to a family crisis, which albeit potentially life threatening, turned out to be a false alarm due to a Consultants error. Thanks for your best wishes and genuine concern but all is now well. Come stay here, you wont be disappointed! Thanks for a lovely stay, one and all !!

We liked everything: excellent location near the beach, clean room, delicious food. We would especially mentione the excellent staff, polite and ready to solve all problems.

Weak wifi

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at apollon last week. Staff are all very courteous and friendly. The food in the restaurant was always lovely Greek authentic food and enough choice for everyone. Location perfect for ammos beach 150 m, ten min walk to lake and port and ten min to bus station. I would return

A bit of a late review as I stayed here in Oct 24 for a 10 night solo holiday. I had a fantastic time here. The staff are really friendly and welcoming (a true credit to the place) and the hotel is very clean. I stayed all inclusive and for the size of the hotel, I was very impressed with the quality and variation of the food, there was always something suitable to eat. The hotel pool is a decent size with a good seating area. I never had to wait for a free sun bed. Only slight downside is that mosquitoes are active around the pool area but this was easily solved with a squirt or two of mozzie spray. The location is perfect for exploring...gorgeous beaches in walking distance, shopping, great bars and restaurants nearby, boat trips and excursions are easily accessed too. As a female travelling solo I also felt extremely safe in the area, including at night so I'd highly recommend to others travelling on their own. I've now booked to go back again when the season starts up as there's still so much that I want to do there that I didn't get a chance to do on my previous visit. If you're looking for an ideally situated hotel that's child free, clean, friendly, helpful and not too busy, then this is a perfect choice!
