Stay Hotel

The staff were all very friendly on all shifts. The disco grout in the bathroom gave us a much needed giggle. Almost everything we needed in the room was available, including bottled water and a mini fridge. Hot and cold options were available for the breakfast, and the picky American could pull something together. Couldn't hear other people even though breakfast was very busy.

It didn't look anything like the pictures, including the one showing while I type this. Dark blue/purple walls and mattress pallet, room is a square with the beds smooshed in on one side and the other side is one long table with thing stored under and on it, and a smaller table with pull out stools. And a UV cabinet thing. Bathroom door is semi-frosted glass, so no privacy if sharing. It was also very, very hot in our room and there didn't seem to be any way to cool it down. Sadly, I was also allergic to something they used to clean the bedding, so it was an itchy, hot weekend.

Modern facilities and value for money paid. Overall pleasant stay. Location within in a decent shopping district and 15-20 mins walk to Gwangju's national art centre & art street. 5 mins walk to metro. Friendly staff.

A little difficult to locate at the alley but once found it was OK.

Good sized rooms with almost everything you could want.

Breakfast area too small for the number of guests. Breakfast choices a little limited.

Breakfast was a choice between bread and butter and Korean fare. Most side dishes are the same daily buy they change up the stew and soups every day. It's quite filling and the dining room lady is very nice. The bathroom is also big and comfortable. We just didn't like the whole door is not frosted, so if you're traveling with friends, you have to be mindful or cover it so you won't be seen.

The second floor area has a smell, we think because the dining room is located there. But other than that, the place is clean.
