O'Biches by Horizon Holidays - Trou aux Biches

Die Lage direkt am Strand war super, das komplette Team (hier ein besonderer Gruß an Karen) war sehr hilfsbereit und das Appartement mit der tollen Terrasse ein richtiges Highlight.

manche Sachen warten anfangs nicht.in Ordnung (einige einzelne Lichter gingen nicht, der Wäscheständer war defekt, eine Klimaanlage hat nicht funktioniert)- aber der Manager Stephan hat sich umgehend gekümmert und super Abhilfe geschaffen.

Furnishings were nice. Good parking and gate security.

Not as advertised. View was of back of building not of sea. Huge disappointment. Rejected the property on arrival. Difficult few hours debating with management. Exhausting and unpleasant experience. Found alternative accommodation through Airbnb.

Accommodation was first class. Excellent features throughout the apartment. I really felt as if I was in a five star hotel and it had everything you needed; particularly the washing machine, that came in very, very handy. There was also a drying room near the front door which I’ve never seen before. A great feature for drying clothes in humid climates. The maids were so friendly and did an excellent job at cleaning the property every two days. The high stone walls along with barbed wire and 24 hour security made us feel at ease and safe. Loved the well equipped kitchen. Beach is right in front of the property, but our apartment was at the back. Very quiet and peaceful. Excellent shops and restaurants right across the road. Plus, there’s a bus stop directly outside the property. Location is excellent.

Some things weren’t attended to promptly or ignored by horizon management. This was especially evident with comments made about the air conditioning system in one of the bedrooms that leaked at first (they did suggest a solution to the problem that worked) but then the unit did not work at optimum capacity after that. They also promised a drying rack a few times, that never arrived. One of the lights in the bedroom was also defective and flashed throughout one night. The refrigerator also made buzzing sounds for a few hours another night. So overall, there were a few electronic issues with the property. After to travelling to Mauritius throughout the years quite a number of times, I was very disappointed with the number of small boats directly in front of the property. This affected the swimming area, as the water was unclear and there wasn’t that much room to swim. Throughout the years there has also been a lot of erosion caused to the beach due to the incredible amount of properties built along the Trou aux biches coast line. Still a beautiful looking beach but nothing compared to what it used to be yrs ago!!

L'appartement est globalement bien, moderne bien équipé et confortable

1. Pour les appartements en rez de chaussée les compresseurs de tous les climatiseurs de l'immeuble sont placés dehors sous les fenêtres des chambre a coucher, donc le soir il y'a un bruit continue qui peut vous empêcher à dormir même avec des fenêtres fermés 2. La piscine apparait sur les photos grande, en fait elle est petite et peu profonde , 1,20 m , c'est plus pour les jeune enfants. De plus elle n'est pas bien entretenue , l'eau est souvent trouble et avec plein d'herbes 3. La machines a Nespresso ne fonctionne pas correctement donc pas de possibilité de faire son café le matin 4. Lors de le réception de l'appartement, les serviettes étaient encore dans la machine a laver le linge, et le reste sur l'étendoir 5. La plage devant la résidence est certes jolie mais c'est un parking a bateau, alors que toutes les structures à cote ont un espace limité réservé pour la baignade. Alors on est obligé de marcher jusqu'aux zones protégés pour bien profiter de la mer

The position and view were absolutely superb. It was near Chez Popo - a good supermarket with a little convenience store across the way and some great restaurants nearby - the one right on the beach was our favorite. Even a pharmacy close by. Stephan was very helpful and the cleaning ladies lovely.

The washing machine was broken and was not fixed before we left (however it was Easter w/end!) A pity as we had a lot of washing to do.
