Amora Lagoon Hotel

At check in the staff was not cooperative. Hotel is rundown They had a sofa bed in the room but were asking for additional charges to open it. There was a lizzard in the room. Breakfast was worst than expected. Cold food stale food coffee and tea were cold. Worst stay in colombo

We checked in at nearly midnight. We were all very exhausted and were looking forward to a good sleep. However, the air conditioner wasn’t working - the room was super super hot. The light at the dressing table wasn’t working. We were really disappointed- we booked the hotel because of the good reviews we read….. No lift so if you can’t walk up the stairs, request for a room downstairs.

Although very close to airport not close to anything else. When we arrived a festival was taking place in the gardens. Very noisy and we wasn’t told it would be on

The hotel is really modern and staff is super friendly and forthcoming. We got offered packed breakfast, since we had to leave early for the flight. There was a wedding taking place with loud music, but it stopped at around 22:30, and then we had a quiet night. Dinner was absolutely amazing (can really recommend the Amora dish platter!) and at low cost. We didn't take the airport shuttle however, since 20$ is a multiple of the Uber. For the rest we can absolutely recommend this hotel, especially as an airport hotel!

I booked a room for a leisure stay with my partner, and initially, everything was excellent especially the reception experience. The staff at the front desk were incredibly polite, welcoming, and friendly, which made a great first impression

Upon entering our room, we noticed an office gathering taking place near the pool area, complete with a DJ and karaoke. The noise was so loud that it made our stay unpleasant. To make matters worse, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, so we tried using mobile data instead. Unfortunately, the reception in Room 726 was very weak, leaving us with no other options. Additionally, the hot water in the shower took a long time to start, and after a while, it stopped working entirely forcing me to take a cold shower. Another disappointment was the absence of a bathtub, which was listed as an amenity in the booking but was not available in our room. Lastly, the staff’s behavior was unprofessional at times. Instead of greeting guests politely, they would stare while passing through common areas, making us feel very uncomfortable. Due to these issues, we decided to check out on the same day.

The location description is totally off, took me 10 min drive to get here. Lousy

The hotel is clean but lots of mosquitoes in my room at night.

It’s hidden away, you can’t really walk anywhere for food etc, you need Uber a taxi.
