Comfort Inn Tonopah

Breakfast was adequate. Nothing special. not very hot.

Smelly carpet.

The hotel is so trashy and was not worth the money I paid. The paint is bad. The carpet is torn up. It’s dirty everywhere. I’ve stayed in hotels for this nightly price that have been way more taken care of. To top it off, when I was given keys to my room and went upstairs, my door was propped open by the latch. Like someone had been in there. Frank at the front desk assured me it was my room and when I requested a different room bc that made me uncomfortable, he offered to go look at the room to make sure no one was there. He also told me the hotel was full and I couldn’t be moved. When I expressed again that this made me super uncomfortable, he then tried to see if there was another king room to switch me to even though he had said it was full. Then in the morning, housekeeping was knocking on my door to come in 30 mins before check out even though I had the do not disturb sign on. This was overall such a horrible experience, especially as a solo female traveler, and I would not ever stay here again.

The carpets throughout the property was old dirty and torn . Crickets in the elevator. The room vents have not been cleaned in at least 6 months . Absolutely filthy. Bottles of lotion , was dirty and sticky . Facility smelled of pine sol like a cover up for deeper filth . Shameful for a comfort inn motel

Easy access.

All ice machines were broken. Found foreign particles in the sheets, including a used cotton swab.

Amber, the staff member who checked me in was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Our interaction with her elevated the entire experience. The hotel was clean and comfortable but had some issues with the ice machines - none of them worked. Breakfast was ok for being included with the room rate, but not so good if I were paying separately for it. The eggs were hard and rubbery, the bacon only about 3/4 cooked, and the waffle maker was broken. The rest of the breakfast was good. Overall, a good experience - a great start with Amber, then a let-down for the breakfast. When we are in the neighborhood again, we will stay again. It will be a better experience overall once they fix the non-working items and adjust their cooking so the food is better.
