The Vandees

Noreen and JP are beautiful human beings and fantastic hosts! We immediately felt at home and they did everything to make us feel comfortable with great spontaneity. It was like visiting old friends. They shared with us plenty of experiences and suggestions. We had such a great time! You can see the creative soul of the Vandees in every detail in the property. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and everything was either self-grown or locally sourced. We loved every moment and wish we could have stayed longer. We left richer than we arrived!

Finding the house the first time can be tricky. Just drive beyond the first white house (2b)!!

What a great stay!!!!! It felt like we came to visit friends! Such a warm welcome, nettle tea, interesting stories, the most comfortable bed ever, delicious breakfast.....well done Noreen and JP.

This has got to be hands down the BEST B&B we have ever stayed in. I cannot compliment the hosts enough. They were the most hospitable couple I have ever come across. By the end of our stay (less than 20 hours!) we felt like family and we’d never met before! The house was stunning and our bedroom was gorgeous and so was the bathroom. If I could give more than 10/10 I would. The breakfast again was outstanding along with the nettle tea and biscuits and delicious full Irish breakfast with jams and yoghurts and nettle cordial. 😋 Absolutely outstanding. We loved Noreen and JP. Fabulous couple.

It was a little hidden but honestly that is definitely part of its charm. We had galloping horses in the next field for goodness sake! So picturesque it was out of a movie! So there was nothing I didn’t like!

Beautiful property , stunning inside and luxury decor , comfortable large bed .. a beautiful home to stay in . Owners were so friendly and hospitable and we felt like old friends visiting . Breakfast was exceptional too .

Property was beautiful and unique, clearly a lot of work put in by the owners, well maintained and immaculately clean, comfiest beds we’ve stayed in. Owners were a fascinating couple with great conversation who were passionate about travel and so were well equipped with knowledge of the local area and places further a field and directed us to some fab places we hadn’t otherwise considered during our 2 week road trip. If the tasty Ulster fry doesn’t cure your hangover, Noreens nettle tea surely will.

We hebben in de loop der jaren aardig wat B&B’s bezocht en sommige springen eruit. The Vandees is zo’n pareltje! Een mooie kamer, alles goed verzorgd en een gezellige, ongedwongen sfeer. En bovenal een bijzonder warm welkom! Jean Paul en Naureen zijn ontzettend gastvrije en aardige mensen! Toen we na 1 nacht weer afscheid namen, leek het wel of we hen al lange tijd kenden. Samengevat: een aanrader!

Best beds and pillow ever. Food every morning was over the top. Nice quiet location - birds singing every morning. The hosts were very gracious and gave us excellent intel on what to see and where to eat. They even offered to take us to the train station every morning and pick us up each evening when we wanted to go into Belfast for a day.

We loved breakfast - but Nori always gave us more than we could eat :) The drive the last mile to the house is down a narrow lane - disconcerting the first time in - but we got used to it.
