Hotel Złote Dęby

I only stayed here one night, having been booked in by my company's travel office, who told me that central Warsaw hotels all seemed to be full. I arrived very late (almost midnight) after a long day at work, and after a long taxi ride from the office in the southern part of central Warsaw. The taxi fare at that time was over 100 Zloty. The hotel is well to the North of the centre. The next morning I decided to use public transport to get to the office, and discovered that the 2 buses only run at most twice an hour... The front door of the hotel was locked when I arrived, but a quick ring of the bell brought someone to open for me. He was very welcoming and seeing the late hour, sorted my details in double quick time. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The furnishings seemed a little old-fashioned but this may be a deliberate choice, and certainly the general standard of decoration of the public areas of the hotel is very high. The only minor problem with the room was that there seemed to a fan in the bathroom (which I couldn't find however) which was running all night and it was not especially quiet. Breakfast was a little bit of a disappointment; there was no buffet and only instant coffee which I had to make myself; also no proper orange juice but only something bright orange in colour and tasting only vaguely of orange. Although I was offered something cooked for breakfast, I was really hoping for some fresh items. Nevertheless it was more than sufficient in quantity. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't need something near the centre. It's in a quiet location and gives you everything you need.

I spent one night at this hotel. Everything is spotless and functional. My room was large and well furnished. Food from the restaurant was very good too. This is a more a place you would stay at en route to somewhere else as its out of the way. I'm not sure about public transport options.
