La Casa de Corruco

Everything went really well at Luis’s place and Luis is a great host! We highly recommend it!

Luis ist ein sehr netter, hilfsbereiter und gesprächiger Gastgeber. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut, allerdings mitten im Ort, Parken deswegen nicht ganz einfach. Ein charmantes, historisches Haus mit Patio. Bei unserer Ankunft wurde im Ort Fronleichnam gefeiert. Im ganzen Dorf Party bis in dem Morgen und am Sonntag Prozession. Sehr interessant!

Nachts sehr warm im Haus, keine Klimaanlage. Die ganze Nacht über Hundegebell.

A rustic house with a lovely courtyard dominated by a bougainvillea. The owner is really helpful (ask him about any walks that he is leading) and very quick to reply to queries and requests.

Some low ceilings but although I am tall I didn't suffer. There were just 2 of us. This would be a comfortable property with up to 4 but lounge and dining space a bit cramped with 6. The property is on a steep hill but there is easy parking just up the hill on the left on a level side street.

It is traditional, so no fancy modern furniture in the house, but I loved very much that we could stay at such a lovely place. The fireplace made it very special. The host was really lovely, he was super helpful and talkative.

The house is genuinely an old Andalucian house, caught in a time capsule from 100 years ago and is charming. It is "divided" into 2 apartments and if you are lucky enough to have the whole house to yourself you will perhsps enjoy the e,xperoence a bit more than we did. You hear everything from the neighbouring apartment and you share not only the patio área but the electricity supply as well. It was cold when we were there and we needed to use the radiators, as did the neighbours. You have to be in agreement to be able to do so as the electric supply will cut. There IS a wood burner, but until we'd gathered some twigs the following day, we couldn't get it going as the logs provided are too large to burn. Luis was a great host, and was always available if we needed him.

Lovely historic rustic house with a cute romantic courtyard garden. Beautiful. It has a wood burner (as well as plug in heaters), which was welcome on the colder evenings. A fabulous little get away which I'm sure comes into it's own even more in the hotter months. The host, Luis, went above and beyond in terms of being welcoming and helping out, in addition to pointing out the nice places to go. A very lovely person. Excellent base for hiking with some beautiful walks. Leaflets are in the house. I hope I can come back and stay again!
