No fault on the owners part, the electricity went out about three hours after arrival. Owners were nice and able to provide candles. There was not a pet limit stated in the contract but when messaged later stated we owed $200 for more than 2 pets. Employee never mentioned anything about us having too many dogs with us. Also wanted to charge us for firewood being used even though the power was out and no other way to stay warm.

Beautiful place.

We loved the beautiful ranch house setting. Acres to walk around and the country setting was magnificent. We hope to go again!

When I made the reservation, I thought I was getting a cabin. We arrived after dark, and the check-in instructions were not very clear, so we were walking from cabin to cabin trying to figure out where ours was. Finally after rereading the email and looking at Google maps again we determined that we needed to go further down the road to the big house. Even that wasn't marked clearly, so when we approached we were afraid we were about to walk into a stranger's house. In the end we found our room, and it was clean and moderately comfortable, although I did feel like I was staying in someone's spare room. I also expected some type of breakfast (the listing said "coffee and pastries") but nothing showed up in the kitchen in the morning, so I guess the 2 bags of chips and a Keurig in the bedroom are supposed to count. Again, the room was clean, and very quiet as there were no other guests in the main house, so I can't complain too much, but I wish things had been more clear from the beginning.

Our cabin was "The Lazy Squirrel". It had a very comfortable bed, great linens and convenient electronics. The bathroom was nice and rustic, but chic at the same time. This is an interior room and would have been even nicer if a little bit cleaner. Spider webs on the poster bed and hairy dirty baseboards. The outdoor porch was great for enjoying the outdoors!

The owner is very responsive and helpful. The suite and common area is immaculate and modern-looking. No complaints from me!

One of the best weekend getaway in a long time. Definitely will book again and again and again.
