"I don't think I could stay anywhere else in New Orleans."

10.0

I don't think I could stay anywhere else in New Orleans. Everything from the comfort/cleanliness to the vibe to the location surpassed my expectations and I can't wait to return. Kelly and Jazz at the front desk we're both welcoming and kind, and provided great service. The facility itself is made up of 4 buildings; the main hotel which also includes an honor bar, the restaurant/bar/coffee shop, the church, and another area with a small gift shop and more rooms. There was a market going on at the church the weekend we visited and there were many vendors selling some beautifully made and locally made crafts. The breakfast at the restaurant was really good and the decor is stunning. Our server said they filled up multiple shipping containers of furniture from Europe to decorate the hotel. Everything was upholstered in plaid. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfy. I LOVED the location - just a few minutes walking from the French Quarter, however it was nice to be in the Marigny which was a bit quieter and offered a ton of little bars/cafes scattered amongst the colorful houses and murals. Cannot wait to return!

Wished they had a jacuzzi! It was cold in New Orleans when we visited.

"Nice look and location but I probably wouldn’t stay there again."

8.0

The room was large and nicely decorated. The building was beautiful.

The room was very dark. An attic room, it had only one skylight and the artificial lighting was inadequate. I thought it was expensive for what we got. Staff was friendly enough but more concerned with other business than in checking in with clients.

The property is beautifully redone. Aesthetic 10/10. However the bed was so uncomfortable we both had a hard time sleeping. The bathroom was adorable and the shower pressure was amazing. However there wasn’t much functional space. I like to unpack and have a place for things during my stays. There is not much space for that. For toiletries or clothes. There were 4 clothes hangers for 2 people and a very small dresser. We stayed in the rectory which is above the restaurant. It was loud and you could hear people downstairs in the morning. The coffee in the room was terrible. Most hotels will have complimentary coffee for guests but we had to pay $10 for 2 cups of basic coffee in the morning. This should be free for hotel guests. It’s about a 20 min walk to the Quarter. The streetcar is not close, which we had hoped to use to get around to different spots. We stayed in the Garden District last time and that location felt more convenient to get to the things we wanted to see. It just felt that things were a hassle when we wanted to have an easy trip. We ended up checking out a day early because we were not enjoying ourselves and things felt too inconvenient.
