Very clean and quiet location. Could even walk into town of Mt. Shasta. You check in remotely so no one on site, but we had what we needed. We went off season, so no big social groups around a campfire (like photos show) but worked for us as we just needed quiet and clean. Would stay here again.

Room has an air conditioning unit this loud and noisy. Was told they couldn’t fix and supplied a fan. I was informed that the owner would contact me about some sort of reciprocal refund for the inconvenience. Nothing happened. I was told no other rooms were available, that was also not true. If your considering this place I suggest you reconsider.

We stayed here for a night only and I woke up with some very itchy bug bites on my back. The room appeared clean but if you looked closely, there were some issues here and there. For example, the hand soap in the bathroom had someone’s hair stuck to it. There was a used towel in the cabinet drawer. The AC was loud! We had to turn it off and sleep in the heat for the whole night. The only good part was the easy check in and check out.

We turned on the ac and it screeches like a dying cat. When I confronted the management I was told to deal with Expedia and there is nothing they can do for me.

The inn (which is just a motel) is a few minutes driving from downtown Mt. Shasta and we ate at a good Thai restaurant and two coffee shops a few minutes away by car. There are no sidewalks along the street so walking our dog in the area was problematic. The room bed was fine but the room was dark with little illumination from the various lamps. The significant problem was the bathroom. The bathroom had no exhaust fan for removing moisture from the room during showers, and the bathroom door stuck in place after showers, and my spouse had to open it by pushing from outside the bathroom. The bathroom had a sliding window but no screen, and a vine had grown into the bathroom window and frame (between the two sliding glass panes), so we couldn't open the window very far. I reported the above to the management and they didn't take any action. There was a 1/4" gap in the vinyl tile flooring at the entrance to the bathroom, that someone could cut their toe on. I provided that info to the management, and they said they would look at it after we checked-out. For the price, we expected a better-maintained room and more responsive management. They could have at least had someone cut the vine growing into the bathroom window.

This property is clean and comfortable. It’s close to downtown, and the management team is prompt and friendly. The two queen beds, while comfortable, had frames that stuck out enough in the small room that caused a few stumbles by both of us. It could be resolved by either smaller bed frames or a larger room for the double bed rooms. Overall, Summit View Inn is a great value and we recommend it!

Our stay at hotel was good. The area is closer to many good restaurants and it’s closer to Mt Shasta in driving distance. Main market street is also 2-3 miles away
