"Comfortable family stay"

Comfortable and pleasant stay for our family trip. Good breakfast, and the kids especially loved the yogurt machine and waffle station. We would stay here again.

"Vehicle break in and theft in parking lot"

I wish I could give this hotel more stars, however our vehicle was broken into in the Best Western parking lot during daylight hours and our possessions were stolen. My family and I (husband, toddler, and dog) were traveling cross country from CA to FL and this was the first stop on our trip. Unfortunately, this incident was a huge letdown as another man in the parking lot said his truck was vandalized as well as I was talking to the police officer. The front desk staff pulled footage from their cameras and found a clip of the incident; however the video was grainy and the time stamp off - all useless for police investigation. The officer let me know incidents like this happen all the time in Barstow, which I should have known since the front desk had me sign a disclaimer at check-in should anything happen to our vehicle while parked on the grounds they would not be liable. Red flag. Also, if this happens all the time wouldn’t they invest in security guards and better cameras?! Super unfortunate given our vehicle had over $1k in damages including a broken window, broken key entry and broken window panel from a crowbar; in addition to thousands lost in personal belongings. Thank god my family was all ok but we all feel/felt super violated. Never again.
