Enjoyed my stay so much I extended for another night, I would have stayed longer but I had already bought my bus ticket back to KL. I asked for directions to a takeaway food stall at the night market, but instead of just showing me on the map, they took me there in there own car, thank you very much for that.

The staff were all really nice and helpful, they gave me lots of information as soon as I arrived about what to see and how to get around with public transportation. It's only a 5 minute walk from the main interstate bus station and from there a regular local bus takes you to the old town area for only RM1.70. nice covered sitting area at the front of the building and free tea/coffee/juice in the morning Dorm beds felt really private with the pull down curtain, toilets/showers were really clean.

One point off for location if like me you don't have your own transport, but as I said the bus station is honestly no more than a 5 minutes walk, and the grab taxi's I took a couple times were really cheap.

More a hotel that has a dorm than a hostel, no common room inside (outside was way too hot). The AC works only from 7 pm to 7 am so I just decided to hang out in the bus station instead of taking a nap. It was so hot inside without AC. No-refund policy seems a bit strict to me. The dorm has a lot of beds so there is always someone coming in or out, anytime of the day. The surrounding area is not nice at all. Downtown is pretty far.
