Astra Apartments

Large veranda with a sea view for upstairs apartment was wonderful. Upstairs apartment was great and had a wonderful layout to sit and enjoy. Along with a large flat screen tv. Great location also!

Walk in apartment was quite small and cramped. No sitting area at all- only beds and a small table at entrance. Also a small tv that had a few channels

Everything was great! The location was amazing, a minute away from the beach and the bus! The staff was also amazing, we even ended up giving them some pastries! Thank you for a great stay!

The only problem was the mosquitos. We live next to a river, so we constantly get mosquitos, but the hotel had about 25 in each room. However when we asked nicely if they could try to remove them, they threw some mosquito repellent and most of them were gone. It's only natural that you would get so many though next to a lake, so it wasn't really their fault!

Certainly not a deal breaker but the shower curtain doesn't reach the floor so the bathroom floods when you shower.

Location was close to Agios prokopios. However, the location on Google is incorrect and the taxi driver had to call the host for actual location. The host was accommodating when I first checked in. Afterwards, they were nowhere in sight.

Disappointed. The apartment itself was very outdated for the price that they charged. Don't be fooled by the pictures. These are taken with filters. In daylight, the apartment is run down. Read the rest of the reviews especially for the apartment downstairs. I was only provided a flat sheet. No quilt. Also the sheets were very itchy and I was allergic to either the soap or material of the sheet. The bed was very hard and upon further inspection, it looks like the bed is very very old that it has lost it's "springiness". No additional toiletries were in the bathroom, just soap. The towels are very rough and look like rags. The screens are torn and possibility of mosquitoes coming in. The restaurant next door is loud and you will be bothered. The hostel I booked in Chania was only 70€ and it was way fancier than this place. Due to the allergic reaction I got and my fear of bed mites, I left the very morning soon as it was daylight and found a very nice modern apartment just a block over. I messaged the host going by the name of Haik. It is not Konstantinos as indicated on the welcome letter. He apologized for the situation and said he would refund me for the two days in question. He has not confirmed with booking.com and so I'm out $220.

The location was the best. 2 mins walk to the beach and sooo many restaurants and grocery stores around. Very convenient. The staff is so friendly, sweet and helpful.
