Tolle Lage und entzückends Appartement.

Leider hat sich die Klimaanlage nicht einschalten lassen und es waren trotz geschlossenen Fenstern viele Mosquitos im Zimmer.

Ottima posizione, pulizia impeccabile.

Not sure where to start on the positive side! Maybe first the location, literally feets away from Piazza Unita d'Italia and the famous Molo Audace. There are a number of restaurants and trattorie directly on your doorstep, as well as the best icecream shop in town: Gelato Marco. Although the property is in the pedestrian area, it is only 150 m away from parking San Giusto, for those travelling by car. Now about the property itself, which is made of 5 accomodations, 1 per floor. Keep cool, there is a lift! :-) We had the appartment on the second floor, it is very nicely decorated and has all amenities you can expect, including a kitchenette, air conditioning, a washing machine. It features also a nice, large bed. I liked a lot some of the walls still with old stones, as well as the timber beams, making a cosy and romantic atmosphere. For the check-in, you reach out to the team through a videocall, very convenient. By the way, kudos to the team who is literally always available and responsive through the whatsapp channel for any of your requests. This is definitely an excellent place to spend some time in Trieste and discover this wonderful city and its surroundings, including Castel Miramare, Opicina and the Napoleon trail for instance.

This is very specific for those travelling to Trieste by car, as it was my case. Parking in Trieste is just a nightmare. Of course, there is this nice parking San Giusto located nearby, but the daily rate is just crazy at 24 euros (although you get a 15% rebate through the Locanca) and depending on the day and hour, you might have to queue for a free spot, because this parking is packed to the brim. It would be highly valuable if the Locanda could have its own private parking spot in that parking and include that cost to the rate as an option. Second small drawback: the property sits in a lively area, hence the street might be a bit noisy during the nights at weekends. Earplugs do obviously the trick ;-)
