Beautiful and cozy little place. Right on the square.

We stayed in the Jesse James suit and loved the comfortable bed and great jet tub, however there was no outlets available to plug a charger in without unplugging a lamp. The shower head fell off twice and hit me in the head. I slipped down the step with socks, but good thing I was holding on to the wall else I could have really hurt myself. The iron did not work and we were told there was water in the fridge but there wasn’t even one bottle and it wasn’t refilled. The staff when we entered treated us as an inconvenience and we had to wait 15 mins while she put decorations on a table. The breakfast was the worst. It was a voucher for $10 a person to the Cafe on the Square where you can’t even get a meal with coffee for that much we ended up having to pay $7 more just for a standard meal and 1 coffee and 1 OJ. We also had to walk up and get our own breakfast from the kitchen. The order person tried to up charge us as well but then gave us a refund when we caught the discrepancy. If you stay here make sure you get a voucher to the Paradise Cafe instead of cafe on the Square. The room looks great but for the money we paid it might have been better to stay at a hotel with breakfast provided. We even contacted management about it but didn’t even get a reply.

We stayed in the Jesse James Suite for 3 nights for my brother's wedding in Glen Rose, Monarch Meadows. It was one of the best stays I've done in Texas. The design was beautiful with all period furniture and lighting. It felt like we were staying in King Henry's bedroom chamber. The tall ceilings, wood floor, and sky high windows. We will definitely be staying here again.

The staff was excellent! I felt like an old friend with every interaction. The room was beautiful and far better than any large chain you can think of. Great food in the restaurant and the live music on Saturday gave a great feel. The location was perfect for that small town feel. Not a big deal but the sat. Tv had some issues but in no way a game changer
