was close to the centre of catania. walking distance from everything. very acoustically protected windows.

the hotel is inside the market. like, directly inside. the market is every day. this is not a good or a bad thing, it is just important for you to know. google maps directions does not know this. sleeping with the windows closed was a bit too hot, but sleeping with them open meant that every morning at 06:00 the construction of the market would wake you up. Great if you want to do some cheap shopping tho!

it was very clean and really close to most tourist attractions.

there were no glasses and the breakfast included is not really worth the extra money.

the drain holes in the toilet was not clean or covered and I could see everything inside when I use them

From the airport, the easiest way to get to the accommodation is to take the ALIBUS, which costs €4, and get off at Piazza Stesicoro. From this square you can also take the 40-minute sightseeing train (€5) with an audio guide in 6 languages. There are several supermarkets within walking distance (Penny, Lidl, Maxistore Deco). We personally didn't mind the market below the accommodation, where you could buy vegetables, fruit, etc. at very good prices. With about 20-25 min of walk you can get the SAIS or Interbus intercity bus stations. The host was helpful.

We missed that there was not even a single cup in the room, the fridge was very small and a coffee machine would have been very useful.
