Wir hatten ein Upgrade für das Chalet 'River Side Chalet' mit toller Lage. War schon zweimal hier, guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und in den Royal Natal National Park.

Everything. It was the Most beautiful place on our trip from Johannesburg to Cape town Nice places for walks. Just be careful because the Tugela Fall seems to be close.but you have to go for 2 Hours because 2 valleys are in between We went to the next valley and had good hikes to the waterfalls

Good location to explore Royal Natal, the views to the surrounding mountains are nice. The staff is friendly.

Upon arrival, we encountered our room with an open window. As a consequence there were a variety of insects in the room and it was damp. No airco in the room at all. The entrance door to the room was broken and needed fixing. Overall the room did not feel 100% clean. Contrary to many other accomodations in South Africa, the owners were not approachable, even so they are living on the premises.

Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable. Breakfasts and dinner were delicious.

There is a real need for more comfortable seating in the outdoor areas. Also more areas with furniture are needed to relax outdoors.

Die Lage war hervorragend für Wanderungen in den Drakensbergen. Das Gebäude mit dem Frühstücksraum war recht hübsch und erlaubte einen tollen Blick auf die Landschaft. Unser Zimmer war einfach, aber sauber. Das Frühstück war gut. Über einen Fußweg gelangte man an einen idyllischen Bach mit Wiese zum Picknicken.

Bei der steilen Abfahrt gab es ein tiefes Loch, bei dem man Schäden am Auto riskierte. Rätselhaft, warum man es nicht einfach auffüllte. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste. In unserem Zimmer gab es keinen Schrank, nur eine Kommode mit Schubläden. Es fehlten auch Stühle oder andere Ablagemöglichkeiten. Das Abendessen wurde uns in mehreren Töpfen auf Warmhalteplatten bereitgestellt. Die Qualität variierte. Wir fanden es schade, dass man keinen Gesprächspartner zum Austausch hatte.
