The George Great Oxendon

Everything! Great ambience. Tastefully decorated throughout. Friendly welcome and attention from Rachel. Evening food was exceptional.

Minor niggle was that it was hot so the window had to be kept open inspite of a fan being provided. The cellar motor fans (due to the summer heat) were on all night which was not ideal.

Fantastic staff, very professional and helpful. The room was very large, the bed was comfy and a good size bathroom with a powerful shower. Amazing freshly cooked breakfast.

We were attending a wedding which start time coinsided with check in but they were very accomodating and explained that although the room prob wouldn't be ready that we could put our belongings in and get changed.All in all,excellent and if attending a wedding at Kelmarsh hall,The George is ideally situated as just in next village.

We wanted to stay in the area to break our journey and were very pleased we did. The stay was very comfortable, the location was great (we enjoyed cycling to Foxton Locks and the Nasby battle sights) and the restaurant was fabulous.

Location was convenient for visiting friends. Diner and breakfast was of a very good standard Friendly staff
