I wanted to report that this establishment had a beer festival event during our stay. Although the Manager phoned us before we arrived the manager said the music would cease at 10 pm (which it didn't) and people didn't leave the carpark until 11.30pm. This noise kept us awake during our weekend stay. We had an early start the following day to the airshow on the Saturday. The establishment failed to mention that the event was in their carpark. So of course when we arrived we couldn't park there or anywhere near by. So Night one stay was exhausting the music was so loud with hundreds of guests making noise near our room. Then day two was a repeat of day one but live music had already started early afternoon as we arrived back from the Airshow and unfortunately for us it continued until late in the evening but this also had 100s of children screaming and running around near our accommodation. Our accommodation:- The TV in the room didn't work despite us raising with the establishment they were too busy dealing with the beer event. The room was extremely dusty. The blinds and TV thick with dust. The shower area rusty and required a refit. The Toilet cistern ran all the time. Apparently it had been looked at but couldn't be fixed before our stay. This 2 nights stay was certainly not worth the money we paid. Its unfortunate for us this establishment was prepayment in advance non refundable. Now I understand why. As far as we are concerned we didn't receive the service / facilities we booked and paid for in advance. The Manager at the Red Lion was only a stand in so had little to do with any monies taken for the accommodation booking however I do feel they should be responsible for the accommodation cleanliness and functioning facilities as well as the noise levels from the music beer festival and what time that event stopped because of paying guests in the rooms.

Spacious bed and very comfortable. Room was a good size as was the bathroom. Enjoyed the pub and had a nice meal in the bar.

The shower was in need of replacement.

Very friendly staff welcomed us on our evening arrival and showed us our room and explained the various aspects of the hotel

Made no difference to our stay but the ominous crack running down the wall was a bit off putting, the toilet roll holder had broken off so that needs replacing.

Very helpful staff - especially when I suffered a minor accident. Very comfortable bed. Spacious room and en-suite. Quiet environment.

Room wasn't cleaned/tidied on Saturday and only partially on Sunday (thoroughly done on Monday though). Temperature control on shower was too stiff for me to adjust. Minor problem with rail in wardrobe - difficult for me to reach (I'm 5'5").

Nicely decorated and clean. Only issue was a bit of plastic from a bed headboard removal.

Our stay was comfortable. The bed was roomy and clean. Tea/coffee was plentiful and plenty of storage. Staff helpful and polite and we would definitely stay there again. Only downside was our television kept losing signal (could have been due to atmospherics) which annoyed the hell out of hubby when he was trying to watch the footy!

Stayed in one of several bungalows in the grounds of the pub. It was clean, spacious, had lovely hot water and a plentiful hospitality tray. Huge comfortable bed.

The pub was warm and welcoming and because the weather was a bit drab, it gave me good cause to retire early to the lovely cozy room and super comfortable bed!

Everything was great!
