Excellent location, great self-catering kitchen, helpful staff

The beds aren’t super-comfortable.

I like the location and the price of this stay. The staff was also lovely and for the price it came with everything you could ever ask for. Also it included bike storage which gave me peace of mind.

Could do with power outlets for each bed, for charging etc. I couldn't find a usb power outlet.

It was clean and functional with friendly staff. We had a twin room (bunk beds) on suite, all very standard, the shower was good. The communal kitchen had everything we needed and there were loads of lounge options with board games, ping-pong, pool and a piano. We were just about in time to leave our bags in the baggage room on arrival best to check what time the staff are leaving if you are planning on doing this. Alnwick itself was a good location with a wonderful castle, we went twice, you can convert your ticket to an annual pass for free. There's a useful if not frequent bus service and a Morrisons right in the centre of town.

The ladder up to the top bunk had very narrow rungs and was straight up, something with better steps would have been easier and nicer.

Its central, clean and the staff are friendly

I was above the kitchen so the smell wasnt great, especially in the bathroom but I had a room to myself so I was very happy about that!

My second stay here, location and facilities are superb, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Nice guests, easy to meet like-minded people.
