Hotel La Colonia

Atencion de los meseros, la comida.

El hotel es basico, pero suficiente para solo pasar la noche. El staff muy servicial, el restaurante basico tambien. Si usted tiene sueño ligero, pida cuartos del fondo, pues el hotel esta ubicado a la orilla de una carretera con gran trafico de equipo pesado las 24 horas y eso hace ruido. El restaurante esta bien, sin ser nada especial. Otra ventaja del Hotel es que esta a 10 min (sin trafico) de los parques Irtra y de restaurantes y supermercados. El hotel le puede alquilar toallas para ir a Xocomil a un precio de 10 quetzales, regresandole 5 quetzales al devolverla.

Great service and place

The location is super convenient and directly off main road making it very easy on a road trip. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant is delicious and everything was great other although the burger was a little soft and strange...everything else was amazing and i ate there many times as i extended my stay multiple times. The grounds are also really beautiful, lush and green. They have a pool but its open to public for a fee on weekends so its too crowded to use as a guest wanting to remain safe during pandemic. Its unfortunate that the other private pool isnt for guest use only on the weekends when its not being rented out. That would have been nice as i was only able to use pool late at night one time during a long stay. The beds are comfortable and room is quiet of in the back in the roman rooms...as i mentioned before i extended my stay twice, i was able to rebook no problem both times through the hotels app..however...even though my 2nd booking was confirmed i did have to move rooms the 2nd time to a room toward the front, i was bummed :(...went from the quiet king room i had booked and for sane price was put in a loud rooom with 2 dbl beds for same price and as it was last room at that point i was given no other options even though the app let me reserve it..overall id give it a 3.5
