Gudvangen Budget Hotel

Bathroom, room was clean. Very old building but has some decency to it. Had to drag heavy luggage to the hotel and up stairs in hotel. No lift. View is amazing.

It was convenient to the ferry and the bus the next day. It was ok but definitely lived up to its name "Budget Hotel" except it was as expensive as a nicer hotel in Oslo. If it had a star rating it would be one star. It was clean and comfy enough for one night.

I'm pretty sure all or most of the accommodations in Gudvangen are owned by the same entity. It's at the end of the Flam to Gudvangen ferry, a small place with limited options. It was the only room available the day I was going to be there. The other place was at least 50% more had there been a room.

Given check in time was 4, we were able to leave our luggage there, which helped a lot.

All was fine, really, perhaps a description about exactly where to walk to get there rather than the address. Google maps is not a perfect science.

Nice hotel managed by very nice people. Convenient location.

Wir mussten das Hotel aus logistischen Gründen nehmen.

Die Lage - es war extrem laut , dazu musste man die Koffer hochtragen und konnte sich nicht einmal richtig festhalten. Die Rollläden an den Fenstern konnten nicht geschlossen werden und es war somit Jahreszeit bedingt extrem hell. Wir hatten noch Glück mit einer eigenen Dusche. Uns gegenüber auf dem Flur gab es Duschen und Toiletten- somit auch Zimmer ohne. Das Frühstück musste gesondert bezahlt werden und konnte die Strasse hoch in einem grossen Raum wie beim Schulausflug an langen Tischen eingenommen werden. Preis-Leistung indiskutabel. Wer sich nicht auf einer Rundreise befindet und übernachten muss, sollte einen großen Bogen schlagen.
