Gudvangen Budget Hotel

Hotel vicino al porto, pulito e caldo. Struttura vecchia ma ben tenuta. Staff disponibile. Tuttavia non tornerei a dormire qui non per l’hotel in sé ma perché Gundvagen non offre granché. Meglio proseguire per Voss o Flam.

The hotel was disappointing – the facilities were lacking, the room was in poor condition, cleanliness was not up to standard, and staff support was unsatisfactory. Since Gudvangen has only a few accommodation options, this one is not worth choosing. In my opinion, a day trip is enough to visit the area, and I would not recommend staying overnight in Gudvangen.....Thank you

The room was very small but as we only stayed one night it wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable and although the bathrooms were shared they were spacious and clean. We ate breakfast at the neighboring hotel which was not included but was delicious with a great range of food on offer.

The hotel had a gorgeous reception area but no staff in it at all which made it feel empty and without character/atmosphere. We had to check in at the neighboring hotel which was not communicated to us before we arrived (we were told that check in was at the neighboring hotel after 9pm and we arrived at 5pm). The hotel is also a bit of a walk from the ferry (about 10-15min) which was frustrating when we realised we could not check in and had to walk back down to the pier (and then back again once we got our keys)
