The front desk manager, Skyler, was lovely. There was a power outage and she was very helpful and considerate of the guests to ensure their safety and comfort.

Front sliding doors lock when no power..need alternative release for entry/exit hotel in a power outage…guests were able to use back door of property

This hotel was listed as a special discount on a 3 star hotel. The good: friendly staff. Not so good: damaged walls with not great fixes. Nonlip stickers on the bottom of the tub. (How much of the last battery is scraped off on these?) Stained porcelain on the tub Pretty stinky room Not sound proof to the interior, which is where 3 seperate groups of is were directed imediately. It had a run down feel. Went to the breakfast at 8:35 most of the hot dishes were down to their last serving or 3. Wierd single egg in a plastic cup deal set the tone. I have never stayed in a Microtel before. My sense was that they are kind of on par with motel 6 or super 8. When I read the stunningly glowing reviews for this place and the "super discount" I thought maybe this one was different. I was wrong, it was about the same. Side note. I gave them a 3 on their i eternal rating. Which earned me a phone call from management as to "why?" I do appreciate folks who dig deeper to see how they can improve. I think an email would have been more welcomed. Calling me on the phone... a little intrusive.
