Hotel Lindemann

Stayed in other hotels around Frankfurt area, so far this one's the best... Clean, comfortable and quiet ( well my stay way) even managed to sleep in the day. Those black out blinds are brilliant. Few English channels on tv would be nice. But I am being picky! Didn't have breakfast as I left early. Oh and WiFi was magic. Well done, let's hope my next stay is just as good

Stayed here on business for 2 days. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Room was comfortable and quiet. Price is good and only a relatively short walk into town. Free WiFi is provided. I did not eat this time but I am sure the standard is as good as before

Overall a very good hotel, except for if you want ham and eggs for breakfast (it´s included) you should ask for "späcke" because the breakfast personel aren´t very good in english. The hotel within 10 min walking distance from railwaystation and centre of town with a very big and nice park closeby.

Stayed here on business whilst visiting my HQ. Hotel is very clean, rooms are comfortable and sleep was OK. Breakfast was a really good selection and just as good as any hotel that charges €25. Here, though, you will pay €5 and have fresh eggs cooked as you like. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. For the price you cannot complain, very good.

Our flight had been delayed and my husband had been in touch with the hotel to reassure them we would be arriving that evening. I recieved a text message from the hotel when i got off the plane at Frankfurt saying that the hotel reception was closed after 9pm and that we would not be able to get in. I rang my husband & he managed to contact the hotel. When we arrived a very miserable lady gave us our key and we were sold, not given, one small bottle of water to share between myself and my friend. As the water coming out of the cold tap in the bathroom was warm, we were unable to drink from it. We were exhausted from travelling all day. The hotel was next door to a garage of some description and the noise from the lorries and other banging meant we didn't sleep for very long. There were tea and coffee making facilities outside our room, but no milk, we went down and asked for a little to make ourselves a coffee. The woman said that we did not come down for breakfast and that she would not get us any milk. She was obviously cross, did not smile and spoke abruptly to us, even when we politely explained that we had not wanted breakfast. We did not understand why she would provide tea and coffee making facilities and then get offended when we asked for a little milk to go in the drinks? Later, I asked at reception if they had change for my note to buy some water from their vending machine. The woman glared at me and pushed past me. I thought she was upset, but had gone to get me some change. So I waited until she came back, but was mystified when she went and stood behind the reception desk, ignoring me. I thought that was very rude of her and decided that I could not bear to have my holiday ruined by the staff at this hotel for another 3 nights. I am a carer for a severely disabled son and this would be my only break for 2011 which my friend and I had been looking forward to for a whole year. So we told the the woman on reception why we were leaving and paid 112 euros in cash for the night we had stayed. She said she would call the police and I agreed that she should, so that the matter could be sorted there and then. She then changed her mind and took the cash. When I simply asked for a receipt, she came out from behind her desk towards us, pointing at us and shouting, "[--} off, I [--] hate the English, get out of my [--] hotel!" We were frightened by her intimidating behaviour. She continued to swear at us until we were outside the hotel. As you can imagine, I was certainly not given that receipt. We were extemely shocked and offended by her racist language which she has not denied using in her statement and thought about going to the police. However, we decided that we didn't want any more stress on such a short break. We also thought about just returning home, but decided that if we did, that woman at the Lindemann would have "won". Later we were lucky enough to stay in a lovely family hotel whose owner was very kind to us for the rest of the Elvis festival, although we struggled to enjoy it because of the offensive woman at the Lindemann and were relieved when it was time to return home.

Hotel is near a rush street, but most of the rooms are located into the back side of the hotel, so you won't recognize the street. There is very good train connection to Frankfurt exhibition center, so in 40 minutes you are on the booth... perfect and cost saving :-)
