Dickman Resort

We stayed here for one night in December 2025 because of the hotel's proximity to the airport. Although the hotel bills itself as "gay friendly" (which is certainly is), I would say that it is equally "friendly to everyone." We are a straight couple of older travellers, and the staff took excellent care of us. Our original room had broken a/c, and without any fuss we were moved to a room with excellent a/c by the pool. As this room change was actually a downgrade for us, the desk arranged our taxi to the airport at no cost to us . . . and the taxi came punctually to pick us up at the appointed time in the early morning. We arrived at the hotel after dark, and very tired, so regretfully we did not explore the surrounding area of Negombo, its restaurants, etc. The hotel is situated on an ultraquiet side street, so there is no traffic noise, and we could not hear the jets landing or departing a few kilometers away. Five stars for the staff!

Quiet location, pool area, quirky style and helpful staff

Little basic for cost. Difficult to find discreet signage. Large vehicle struggle to access down narrow road.

Originaliteit van kleurschakeringen en decoratie. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel en management. Nabijheid van winkelstraat en strand.

Wir waren nur für einen Tag dort. Es hat uns gut gefallen. Zimmer, Pool, Lage, Personal. Wir konnten die Ayurveda Behandlungen leider nicht testen.

Nichts

We liked everything.The location was great down a quiet lane off the main drag.It was peaceful and relaxing and the pool was amazing.The staff were kind and helpful and gave us a great welcome and arranged taxi to the airport for us as it was our last night in Sri Lanka.We stayed in the blue suite which was really comfortable with a huge bed and bath. We walked to the beach (5 mins) for dinner and had a great breakfast the next morning in the hotel.

The location is very good

Veldig hyggelige ansatte. De tok seg tid til å prate med oss lenge hver gang vi hadde behov for hjelp, eller når de kun ville høre hvordan vi hadde det. Vi bodde på Mango Suite som var helt fenomenalt rom. Romslig, rent, stort bad og gode senger. Ikke mange rom her, føltes nesten som man var alene.

Ingenting spesielt

Très grande et confortable chambre très bien équipé. Belle piscine au calme avec transats et parasols . Le personnel est très sympathique et super pro. Le manager sait mettre à l’aise dès le début donc on s’y sent comme chez soi. Le petit déjeuner est super bon et très copieux. L’hôtel est bien placé car à 2’ à pied de la rue qui longe la plage avec tous les restaurants et les commerces.je recommande fortement !!!
