Villa Nissos

We stayed in the house as a family with friends. The young people were in the apartment on the first floor, and we were on the ground floor. This kind of accommodation suited us perfectly because of the different daily rhythm, waking up, etc. The house is well organized and equipped to the last detail, from the outdoor shower and sunbeds to the super equipped kitchen. The beach is close, there is no need to use a car....

Villa Nissos is located close to Issos Beach and surrounded by greenland - that’s quite nice. The well prepared, shared garden is big enough to find a place to relax - we didn’t had neighbors in the time of our visit - only some lovely Geckos and frogs. The apartment itself is from 2018, hence relatively new and you‘ll find a lot of kitchen helpers and the place is calm for having a relaxed sleep. It‘s close to a German standard. Like in the other two apartments before, the fridge was pre-filled with some beverages and fresh fruit - so nothing special but still welcomed.

All surfaces in the apartment had been far away from clean. The first look was ok, the second and third you should not take if you‘re used to a clean environment (like we had in the other two apartments). That’s a pitty, as cleaning up after a visitor leaves in the morning isn‘t a big deal. We found a dangerous piece of wire in the garden - having three kids we‘re happy that none of them had injured themselves. There is a surveillance cam pointing to the area of the outdoor shower - we didn’t use it therefore. WIFI and internet didn’t work all the time.

I extended our stay at Villa Nissos, so I get to write a second review. I have to emphasise that staying here feels like being cared for, all thanks to Grigoris' incredible family. His mother in particular is a powerhouse of love and incredible cooking, and she deserves a very special and grateful mention! Thank you Keti! ♥ I went to Corfu with my son because he loved the book My Family and Other Animals, and wanted to see the island and its creatures. We could not have found a better way to do this than staying at Nissos. On day 3 I realised that it even matches the description of the Durrells' first house: a square pink villa with green shutters, in a garden decorated with white rocks (but Nissos' enormous garden is equipped with comfortable sun loungers, sofas, and swings: it's incredibly relaxing). It's surrounded by unspoilt, quiet countryside, and we saw a HUGE amount of wildlife when we went out for walks. Swallows and butterflies dart around the house all day; in the evenings, the hedgerows around the house light up with fireflies, and in the nearby trees, Scops owls call to each other at night. Lake Korission is a birdwatching paradise, and one day a fluffy pine marten jumped into our path as we walked to the sea! Grigoris really is the most kind, generous and thoughtful host you will ever meet, the house is absolutely gorgeous, luxurious and comfortable, and this really was the best holiday we ever had. I wish we were still there: we'll be back! Thank you from your new friends in London :)

Everything! Gregory and his family are the most kind, generous and thoughtful hosts imaginable and have really looked after us. The house is really well-equipped, stylish and comfortable; between it and the sea are wildflower meadows and sand dunes. This is the most beautiful and peaceful place.

I don’t like the fact that I have to go home!

The host Gregory is hospitality personified. we were looked after from the minute we arrived to the day we left. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is quiet. Perfect for families. 10 mins walk to the beach.

Villa Nissos is a beautiful place. A newly renovated villa, two flats on two floors. The interior is completely new and equipped with every comfort. Gregory will welcome you in the best possible way. He provided us with fresh fruit, water, drinks and something to cook when we arrived. He advised us on many things about the place, making our stay better. He made us feel at home. Also very kind in greeting us and extending our check out time. I recommend everyone to come here for a quiet place to spend the night. It is worth getting away from the centre to experience Villa Nissos! Thank you Gregory!

A really nice almost brand new villa with all the mod cons! Walking distance to Issos beach and a great taverna on the way! Gregory the owner was very helpful and a great host!!
