For international travels to Brazil, if just one of the parents is traveling with the child, she/he must present – in addition to the child's certificate of birth and identity card with photo – a letter authorizing the trip signed by the other parent with a notarial certification of signature. In case the parents or the legal guardian, as applicable, cannot or are unwilling to give this authorization, a judicial authorization is required. People who intend to travel to Brazil with children must consult with the Brazilian consulate before traveling for more information. Lovely stay in this beautiful pousada on the beach of Bananal. Relaxed and friendly environment, the staff is always kind, helpful and available. The view on the beach is incredible and the rooms were clean and spacious. We loved the restaurant of the pousada, with nice choices and fair prices. We were able to relax and disconnect, and fully enjoy this part of the island.

Only 2 suggestions: it would have been nice if the room had black-out curtains to cover the morning light entering from the small windows; it would be very helpful if the staff could help arranging the transfer to and from the pousada in advance, as it's not easy to reach being the beach a bit out of the beaten track.

"Wonderfully welcoming hotel in a peaceful spot. Perfect for relaxing."

A super welcoming small hotel in a super peaceful area of Isla Grande. The family who run the hotel are wonderful and can’t do enough to help. They weee great with our kids, lending them fishing equipment which kept them busy for hours! Not speaking Portuguese was a bit of a barrier but one member of the family speaks amazing English which was a great help. There isn’t a lot to do in the area, but the boat tours are fun and there are some nice hikes to different beaches. Breakfast was amazing too, thank you!

The beds are not very comfortable and little things like having an extra rubbish bin in the room, other than the one in the bathroom would be really helpful. The oil rig near the bay was a bit of a surprise as well!

"Amazing if you want some quiet time"

The fact that it’s located on an island it’s so peaceful.

A little dated, no TV (but I guess it’s great to have some peace). WiFi is patchy too.
