Great Location and view, close to Umhlanga and Durban, two roads that can get you exiting fast going North or South.

Early morning noise by staff, my second stay and again noisy staff, I had to get up early, but they need to be more courteous to guest wanting to sleep in.

Stunning property with amazing views and great facilities. Snezana and the Ocean Vista Team were welcoming and supportive as my wife fell ill, nothing to do with the guest house, and they helped with her recovery. A huge thank you from Charlotte and I!

My stay at Ocean Vista Boutique Guest House was simply perfect. Snezana, the owner, has created such a special place. From the moment you arrive, the gorgeous ocean view immediately captures you. The white interior is absolutely stunning — clean, calm, and beautifully done. As someone who loves white linen myself, I was completely sold. The crisp white towels and bedding made the whole space feel fresh, luxurious, and peaceful. Upstairs, the view of the ocean is breathtaking. It is the perfect place to sit, relax, and simply enjoy the sound of the sea. If it rains, it becomes even more magical — you can sit upstairs, pour yourself a glass of wine from the bar fridge using the honesty bar (which is such a fantastic idea), and just unwind while looking out at the ocean. The white exterior and interior colours make the whole place feel bright, elegant, and serene. What I loved most is how homely it feels. There is no intrusion at all — you truly feel at home. Snezana clearly cares deeply about her guests. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, the air conditioner is excellent, and even the small table outside the room on the balcony is perfectly positioned so you can sit with the ocean view. The level of care is incredible. At one point I thought Snezana was coming to speak to me about what I thought might have been my unacceptable behaviour — but instead she came to bring me more of the same wine I had been drinking because she noticed I liked it. There were other wines in the bar fridge that I could have tried, but she made sure I had the one I preferred. That kind of attention to detail says everything. Whenever I needed something, she was always helpful. She provided crockery and cutlery when I needed them in the room, and guests even have access to the kitchen beyond the breakfast service, which adds to the homely atmosphere. One evening there was even a wedding ceremony upstairs, yet I heard absolutely nothing. That shows how well designed and peaceful the space is.

Ocean Vista was an unforgettable experience. The property offers breathtaking ocean views every morning, making each day feel special. Thoughtful details throughout the stay added comfort and charm, while the healthy and delicious breakfast set the perfect tone for our days. Everything came together to create a truly enjoyable visit. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to others.
