Red Lea Apartments with Pool and Spa

Perfect apartment for a family vacation with the dog. Great location, close to the dog friendly beach. Clean and comfortable. Lift access. Staff were lovely.

Great location. Right near clifftop, and near cliff lift to get straight to the beach. Nice and quiet. Good double glazing to block seagull noise out! Clean. Light. Bright and airy. Everything we needed was there. Great to be able to access the swimming pool from stairs down by our door. Was never busy in the pool! Nice comfy beds. Great to be able to pay £5 for 3 days parking right outside.

Terrible tv signal. Only smart tv catch up worked. Not actually telly. Shower wouldn't stay up but we coped. Overall we really, really liked this place just feel it is quite expensive.

The location was great, lovely walk into Scarborough. The apartment was spacious and facilities in the main hotel were great.

Lack of curtains and/or black out blinds. It was very bright in the mornings which woke us up. Having curtains would have helps suppress the seagull noises. Also it was very warm and the windows opened up from the bottom, which we couldn’t leave open due to having a small child.

Our sea-view apartment had its own lift from the ground floor to the apartment - absolutely great / unexpected bonus, especially as we were on the second floor and had a lot of bags. The kitchen was really well setup and the beds very comfortable. The reception team were lovely - very welcoming and helpful, and offered great advice on what to do during our holidays. The location was superb too - whilst on the top of the cliff, there is a cliff lift down to Scarborough Spa (£2.20 return per person) which was hugely helpful given we had people in our group with limited mobility. Parking was a breeze too - plenty of spaces available and only £5 for 4 full days.

The main hotel bar was closed to the public (which includes users of apartments) whilst we were there, as the hotel has been 'booked out' by Anglo American for corporate use. This didn't cause us any issue, but if visitors were keen to use the bar in an evening, for a quiet drink, check if it's re-available. There are other nearby hotels you can use though. The pool was fully useable by apartment residents - which was great and handy to keep our 2 young children entertained for an hour a day (nice hot tub there for adults too).

Location is superb, cliff lift across the road drops you onto the spa, spectacular views. Apartment was well equipped, hotel facilities were really good including the pool/spa etc. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Only knocks i can give are that the apartment wifi was really weak as was the tv signal meaning we couldnt watch anything in the evenings, apart from that fully recommend the apartments and hotel
