Friendly staff, lots of good tips for what to do in the area, super comfy big bed!

The kitchen could've benefitted from some more things but other than that it was great.

The stay was generally great, but we experienced an issue with the water temperature while showering, as it suddenly turned freezing cold halfway through, which made us uncomfortable and unwell, forcing us to cancel our day trip in Dunedin and rest instead. We appreciate that the female host came to explain that only 160 liters of hot water is available and that it takes about 1–2 hours to reheat; however, we were unsure about this explanation since there were only three of us and each person’s shower time was around 10 minutes. While we understand this may be common in New Zealand, we suggest placing a clear reminder on the wall for overseas guests, as we did not encounter this issue in other stays. Additionally, the male host could improve his customer service, as interrupting the explanation and raising his voice made the situation feel unnecessarily escalated rather than resolved.
