Ocean Cottage

Je lève ma casquette au monsieur qui gère sur place, il fait tout pour vous, il est au petit soins de A à Z, il allume les lampes le soir pour vous, balaie le sable sur la terasse, débarrasse et fait la vaisselle. Ik est parti nous chercher un casse croutte pour partir en activité. Il prépare un petit déjeuner magnifique ! Tout le monde est gentil au srilanka mais cet homme mérite plus qu’un 10 / 10 ! Il a même offert une tablette de chocolat a ma fille et nous à prévu un gâteau pour l'anniversaire de mon fils! Il entretien aussi l'hébergement qui est propre et bien rangé. La piscine est magnifique ́, elle fait bien 20m. La vue est magnifique. Accès a la plage facile. Un cocon pour se dépayser !

Piękne, komfortowe miejsce. Z tarasu widok na ocean. Cudowny basen. No i "safari na siedząco": waran, który kopał sobie norkę, małpy, zajączki, ptaki.

Excellent location, calm and quiet environment, staff was supportive

There was no alternative power supply or llight source during the power failure and we had to rely on the torch in our mobile phones for half an hour.

A wonderful little paradise right by the sea with an excellent pool. The area is spacious, secluded, and peaceful, with a long, uncrowded beach nearby where you can watch local fishermen at work in the mornings. The house is tidy and clean. It was hard to leave this place — I sincerely recommend it. It’s true that there are no shops nearby, so you need to go to a neighboring town, but the host arranged a tuk-tuk for us, and we were able to buy everything we needed — you just have to plan ahead.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but if I had to mention a downside that might matter to some, it would be the limited kitchen equipment. Since we didn’t cook, we didn’t miss anything, but if you planned to prepare your own meals, you might find a lack of pots or pans—though the host would likely provide them if asked. Another point, which didn’t bother us but could be considered a drawback, is that there are two private houses on this large property. They are separated, and you don’t see or disturb each other while on the terraces, but the pool area is shared between both houses, so you would need to share it with the other guests.

One of two bungalows sharing a beautiful coconut lined garden with a 28m infinity pool overlooking two stunning beaches(as keen lap pool swimmers, we made the most of it)! We rented the smaller of the two bungalows which had 2 en-suite A/C bedrooms. It was comfortable but basic. Lester the caretaker lives on site and is always on hand should you need him. He did some washing for us and fetched a few provisions. You can walk down to the deserted beach from the garden and watch/help the fishermen haul in their nets. Sea very rough, not suitable for swimming. Every morning we were blown away by how stunningly beautiful the grounds and views were. We were the only 2 people there during our 4 day stay. Upoint restaurant is about 15 minute walk away and offer a free Tuk Tuk ride to their restaurant should you need it. Lovely family run restaurant serving excellent food.

The location is the best on this beach. It has a fantastic view to the ocean, a wonderful pool, and we liked that it was very calm and not a noisy place. We loved the night BBQ on our terrace. Also we loved the beach side with no crowd and a lovely place to swim.

I would like to have a better-equipped kitchen. It had very few items.

На январь 2026 года это однозначно это одно из самых необычных и неоднозначных мест, где мы останавливались. Имеются как свои большие плюсы так и минусы, поэтому впечатления разнообразны. С одной стороны - большая площадь виллы, чистота внутри, огромная территория вокруг виллы - целая кокосовая плантация, что создаёт дополнительное уединение, простор, на фотографиях выглядит просто улётно. Удалённость от городской суеты - для нас это был плюс. Несмотря на удалённость есть недалеко небольшой продуктовый магазинчик для базовых потребностей и несколько хороших ресторанов. Бассейн - огромный, чистейший, с потрясающими видами! Рядом большой красивый парк птиц, прекраснейшее место для прогулки на лодочках семьёй. Лестер - менеджер данных 2-ух вилл выше всяческих похвал - всегда на связи, всегда поможет и подскажет! Готовит очень вкусные и разнообразные завтраки!

С другой стороны минусы: оба туалета в большой вилле находятся на улице - на картинках это красиво (как будто в сад заходишь), но очень непрактично - не очень удобно самому ходить в туалет и детей ночью высаживать. За 4 дня мы встретили 2 раза лягушку ночью (один раз прямо в унитазе, другой раз на стене душевой), 2 раза увидели больших тараканов + конечно, комары. Всё это не создаёт такого удобства сходить элементарно вечером или ночью в туалет. В этом плане соседняя вилла того же хозяина, которая поменьше, имеет один туалет на улице и один внутри, что является большим плюсом. На самой территории желательно бы чаще чистить кокосы на пальмах, хотя бы вдоль дорожки к бассейну/морю, тк не очень уютно осознавать, что в любой момент сверху может прилететь такой "камень". Ну и последнее - по территории часто бегают бездомные собаки, которые выглядят прямо скажем не очень здоровыми и даже собака хозяина была вся в клещах, которые ползали в том числе по территории террасы. Очень хочется чтоб хотя бы эту добрую собаку хозяина кто то подкормил и вылечил от клещей! Пляж рядом большой, чистый, безлюдный, хорошо посидеть на песочке, но не поплавать, так как всегда большие волны. В общем по цене/качеству - 120-150 евро за ночь такую виллу - ну прям ценник огромный не смотря на большие плюсы, как мне кажется. Соседняя вилла на той же территории и того же хозяина немного поменьше, с туалетом внутри и более адекватным ценником выглядит куда привлекательнее.
