Villas Argan - Paradise Gateway

Ein wunderschönes Plätzchen in einem sehr schlechten und ungepflegten Zustand. Kein Service trotz vorhandenem Personal, keine Geschirrtücher, Duschtücher trocknen in dem Klima nicht, werden aber auch nicht gewechselt, die Dusche verdient den Namen nicht. Die Straßen generell und die Zufahrt im Besonderen sind eine Zumutung, der Zugang zum Strand ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Daneben war eine teilweise sehr laute Truppe, am übernächsten Grundstück wurde mit enormen Geräuschentwicklung gebaut. Angeblich wird das Anwesen jetzt generalsaniert, dann könnte es wieder sehr schön werden.

The house we stayed in has beautiful woodwork and was spacious but also a bit treacherous with a stairway with no handrail and a step up part way into the living area. The beach is lovely and it was not touristy when we there (during heavy rainfall). Howler monkeys entertained us frequently. The maid did a very good job. Like many Costa Rican properties the road in was quite bad. The kitchen had few of what I consider essentials so cooking was challenging but not impossible. The shower pressure was less than satisfactory but the water was hot. We would stay there again but hope to find a better equipped kitchen and ample water pressure.

The Villas feature lovely gardens and well-kept surroundings. A/C offered only in Primary bedroom. Our villa had lenty of fans, a clean pool, and many amenities throughout. Staff on site were courteous and helpful. Neighbors were also very nice and friendly. On the other hand, the property was difficult for us to find and the roads leading to the property were not yet paved; thus, a 4x4 would be highly recommended. I would stay at Villas Argan again without reservation.

Everything you need is nearby. Most pristine beach, a little grocery store with so much to offer, we cooked most of our meals there and the kitchen had enough supplies to make our food. Gorgeous villa, we felt very spoiled! The gentleman/security guard was very nice. Staff answered all our questions, I had many lol! Will definitely return!

We spent a lovely week at Villas Argan. We booked relatively last minute and this villa was one of the only accommodations still available in the area — it exceeded expectations. The villa is super cute and the cleaning was immaculate. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is only A/C in the downstairs bedroom, and there is not much privacy between the villas; we weren’t bothered, however, as our neighbours were quiet. The villa is only a short walk from a beautiful stretch of beach with good swimming and surfing for beginners and experienced surfers. We saw howler and capuchin monkeys during our stay. Playa Hermosa is much quieter and more relaxed than neighbouring Santa Teresa, which suited us. We rented an ATV to go into town for meals and to explore the area. Playa Hermosa does have a pizzeria and two cafes that we really enjoyed. Highly recommend!
