The Villa Green Inn

Perfect stay close to me airport ( 20 Min drive) . Beautiful villa with great gardens and pools. Dinner was also very good. Excellent!

Een heel rustige plek welke ideaal is om je vakantie in Sri Lanka mee te beginnen. Ruime kamers, prima airco, mooi landhuis met 2 zwembaden en gastvrij ontvangst.

De douche deed het niet naar behoren, maar om af te spoelen was het wel ok.

I used to come here over the 10 years of traveling to SL and it was awful this time. Paid for the nicer room and was put in a tiny terrible room, my friend who paid less got a huge gorgeous room I’ve had in the past. The water filter system had a piece of tape over the light which was red, indicating the filter had stopped working… we had a 12 month old, a 3 and 4 year old drinking from it. Terrible lunch and breakfast food. Had the place changed hands?? It felt different in the past

The setting of the hotel with the garden is very lovely - it feels away from city life and you can hear the birds. The water pressure in the shower was very good.

The food wasn’t very good at the hotel, and most of the restaurants were 20 minutes away by car. I think the room could be improved with a few small touches - for example providing a couple of glasses, adding a shelf by the shower so you don’t have to put all your toiletries on the floor, removing the manufacturing sticker on the toilet, etc. The shower drain didn’t work very well so we had to turn off the shower every few seconds to allow it to drain.

Set in beautifully maintained gardens with a lovely pool, this is a great place to stay in Negombo. Most people only stay the night before or after their flight, so if you want a lovely pool to yourselves for a couple of days, this is the place to stay. It’s easy to get to from Colombo too. If you want to go to Negombo Town or beach it is just a short yuk Rukeyser ride away, easily booked using the excellent PickMe app. We only had breakfast at the hotel, and that was fine, but they do serve dinner too, though there are no vegetarian options. The manager keeps everything just so and the. Rest of the staff are cheery.
