Le Dimore del Mito -Gaia-

Це той рідкісний випадок коли в реальності житло виглядає краще ніж на фото. Гарне розташування в історичний частині. Апартаменти знаходяться в маленькому італійському дворику загубленому у вузьких вуличках. Простора ванна кімната. Є все необхідне - кухня, холодильник, пральна машина, кондиціонер та інше.

Паркування!!! Паркуватися треба буде подалі від оселі. Ми знайшли пару варіантів - підземний в 400 метрах за 25 євро за добу і в 850 метрах (за аркою) за 15 євро.

Overall we had a nice experience and the ultimate location was pretty good - easy access to all sights/sounds on Ortigia island and also an easy walk back to the mainland. However this was my first experience where I did not get my property access details in the promised 24hrs before the allowed check-in time through the Expedia website - I waited a few more hours and then decided to reach out to the provided mobile number via text. After no reply for 3 more hours I then called and nobody answered. I was nearly about to cancel the booking when I received a phone call that resulted in full details with the next hour - essentially at 8pm for a possible 2pm next day check-in. The reason given was problems with the Expedia site in providing me the details - however direct texting also yielded no replies - only after a phone call did I get a response.

Great location in the heart of ortigia but away from some of the heavily touristed streets. The apartment is comfortable and quite well equipped. Love the high ceilings too.

The washing machine didn’t work properly and despite trying three times, the clothes came out sopping wet and not properly clean, even though I put a small load in. The property was not super easy to find - I recommend that the host uploads a photo of the exterior to make it easier for guests to locate.

Beautiful apartment with nice kitchen and spacious bathroom. Communication with host was smooth and very easy. The location is perfect, in the heart of Ortigia, close to the most important places.

The location in the centre is good.

The bathroom is an open space in the master bedroom without any door. The door from the bedroom to the lounge (where the sofa bed is) doesn’t shut so there was zero privacy for the toilet. This was a big issue for us. The water pressure was so low in the shower that we couldn’t wash shampoo out of our hair. The air conditioning doesn’t teach the bedroom- only worked in the living area. The kettle is dangerous: both my friend and I burnt our fingers. There is insufficient crockery in the kitchen - only 1 mug, only 2 wine classes, no water jug, no tumblers. The description and the pictures made the room look much bigger. It’s not really suitable for 2 friends travelling together but would work for a couple. We were given the wrong entrance code so we couldn’t get in. Fortunately the telephone number supplied on Booking was answered quickly and we were given the correct code (but no apology)

Super clean && had everything we needed.

The property was damp and humid and the air conditioning was not working. The washing machine was also not working. The dial on the microwave was broken and at times the oven being turned on caused the main circuit breaker to trip. Some of the cutlery was rusty and glasses were not clean. The chest of drawers and the mirror in the picture had vanished. There was a totally inadequate number of power sockets provided.

This charming property is perfectly placed in Ortigia. It is airy, comfortable and a satisfying living space. It also has the added benefits of a large, well equipped kitchen area and Netflix.

Unfortunately, occasionally the shower created a rotten egg type smell.
