"Offers what you would expect from a good guest house."

Location was good for my purpose and OK for the town - it's a little out of the centre in a residential area. All tourists staying in Wernigerode are offered free travel on the buses. Breakfast was good, plentiful and served at table, with a supplementary buffet. 24 hour minibar. Good parking at rear of house. Kettle in room (not that common on the continent).

I don't think anyone spoke much English (not a problem for me). No proper tea (only Earl Grey) -although this is pretty standard now in Germany. Bring teabags if you want tea! Wifi was prone to dropping out (and I had to ask for the password).

Ruhige Lage, nur 15 Gehminuten zum Zentrum. Das Personal freundlich. Das Frühstück großzügig und liebevoll hergerichtet.
