Bull and Bush Hotel

I liked how clean the room was and how comfortable the bed and pillows were And the staff were very friendly and accommodating

The only thing I didn’t like was not having a microwave in the room

The location (near Airport) enabled us to have both accommodation and catering all within the one convenient location.

Obviously not a problem for everyone, but we found the mattress on the bed to be extremely soft. To the point where we spent most of the night trying not to roll inwards. I'm not sure if this was due to age of mattress or it being simply soft by design.

I booked this room thru Booking .com and then had to cancel because our flight was cancelled and we wouldnt be there that night. The manager accepted my cancellation, said he gave a refund, and told me he sent my refund to Booking,com, but so far I havnt received it. The manager has been great but Booking,com dont seem to have a record of this.

Have stayed there before and they are so convienient to Newcastle Airport and have a bistro and bar. Staff are great. Cant fault them.

The hotel was close to the local shops and the pub looked decent for a meal. There was a Saturday market on the grounds nearby

There aren't really any staff around, check-in at the pub main counter and that's about it. They were however staffed until 3am. Not all rooms had parking outside them, something to consider if that is important. The lot could also be busy as it was shared by a Chinese takeaway
