The Pecking Mill Inn

On arrival we were greeted in a polite cheerful manner, and shown to our room. The room and onsuit facilities were clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and approachable. The food was great, well presented and apatising. Overall a friendly welcoming establishment. We would definitely stay there again.

The Owner Geoff is Fantastic, Tried his freshly cooked food it's excellent and he uses local produce. Pippa the assistant couldn't do enough to help us, great local knowledge,pleasure to chat with. The only downside for myself and the wife was we thought we had booked a room with a bath, one of the reasons we selected this hotel, but unfortunately,it's only the family room that has the bath not the double, We would definitely stay here in the future and book the family room We had a Cozy sleep, Not much traffic noise, we gave the cooked breakfast 5* for value and quality of local ingredients.

Okay and to my liking, rooms well appointed and equipped with ensuite bathroom Full set of towels and bath mat, comphy bed and cozy environment.

Jeff the owner was outstanding and could not have done enough for me, excellent, very friendly. Great stop over before an interview. Great breakfast included in the price, would defiantly stay again.

Stayed overnight prior to a day at the East Somerset Railway 10 minutes away. Jeff welcomed us on arrival , and showed us to our room. Room was compact, but very comfortable, en suite, tea and coffee , tv and hairdryer in room , and very comfy bed. Had a nice meal in the evening, served by a very friendly lady ( sorry we didn’t catch her name) , in the cosy dining room. We pre-ordered breakfast, which was lovely and set us up for the day. All in all this was s great stay, with friendly hosts and great value. We would thoroughly recommend the Pecking Mill Inn.

Friendly inn frequented by locals. Evening meal was excellent. Breakfast equally as good. Ran by a decent landlord who wanted to help. My Motorbike was wet in the morning after an overnight shower. He offered to lend me towels to dry it off. Not many places would have gone that extra mile. There is nothing really close by to walk to. But friendly people decent food and service is all I really need when im away. Id stay again

Very nice place

It would be nice to have a desk to check in and not to have to wait or find someone. Staff were very friendly and good.
