Guests highly rate the stunning views and frequently praise the comfortable beds.
GBA wonderfully appointed home in an unbeatable location. Perched atop high cliffs on the east coast of the Trotternish peninsula, this crofter's cottage looks out over the Sound of Raasay and the North Minch. Inside, there is a lovely cosy living room, dining room, exceptionally well equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and four bedrooms, each with comfortable beds. There is also a decent sized porch for storing wet boots and waterproofs which you will need to explore the spectacular but inevitably rainy Isle of Skye The owners are charming and helpful, with first rate information (books, guides, brochures) helpfully provided.
It's difficult to say anything negative about this property. It's not massive or ultramodern, if those things are important to you, but the location is just amazing and it's been prepared as a holiday let with real care and attention.
CHFantastic view, great location between the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock Falls and not far from Portree, four bedrooms with comfortable beds and plenty of space, equipment in very good shape and a very nice host. We had a splendid time and would recommend this location to everybody.
GBTaigh Rob was a wonderfully comfortable house for our holiday. It is exceptionally well presented with good quality/condition furniture, kitchen equipment, linen and towels. All beds were extremely comfortable. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and care into all aspects of the property. The welcome note and gift was kind and friendly. The owners provided lots of useful information, everything you needed to know about the property and Isle of Skye. They were available to help if you needed before and during the stay. The grounds surrounding the house were peaceful and beautiful as was the view of the sea from all windows of the house. The location was great and we would recommend Taigh Rob to anyone.
GBThe cottage was ideal for our family party of 6 adults and a baby, with an attractive and comfortable living room and dining room, well equipped kitchen, 4 good-sized bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms with showers. It was nicely furnished and a great place to hang out. The view across to the mainland (including Torridon mountains) is amazing, and we saw dolphins and a golden eagle from the house. It's a great location to tour the north of Skye, including the Quiraing and Old Man of Storr, and the astonishing dinosaur footprints can be seen at nearby Brothers Point, Staffin beach and Duntulm. We saw sea eagles on a boat trip from Portree. Our hosts had left us wine, chocolates and a lovely calendar of Skye, which were much appreciated!
