White's City Cavern Inn

Staff were great. The pool area and grounds were nice. Close to a little touristy strip mall that was fun. The cons were the air conditioner leaked, the TV picture was fuzzy, and the ice machine was broken. They offered to move us, but we had already settled in and liked the end room. So the problems weren’t a huge issue. We would stay again!!

For the price, it was what you’d expect. Clean and pet friendly with a super cute splash pad and so close to Carlsbad Caverns

Perfect place to stay for hiking Guadalupe peak and the staff was very helpful.

We appreciated the location of the hotel with relation to Carlsbad Caverns and the hiking we wanted to do. Dining options on the Sunday and Monday were non-existent. So, we drove 20 minutes into Carlsbad for dinner both nights. The room was comfy. We especially loved the visit from the Mule Deer.

Very friendly staff, room was clean and private. Good variety of breakfast foods.

The help is surely the place was probably nice 40 years ago but now it's a mildew ridden half empty dump dear God avoids this place unless you have to come for the water park for your kids

Location

The room was clean and all. The staff was great, it’s just an older hotel so don’t expect a new place. It’s the closest thing to the Caverns and if you want an early start, this is the place. Stayed here when I was a kid in the 80s.

The only perk with this hotel is its closeness to Carlsbad caverns. You have no dining options after 3pm. Breakfast is only a muffin or a box of cereal. Next closest town to get any food is 20 miles away.
