Serendi Apart Hotel

Good location, just a few minutes walk to Cleopatra beach. We liked the flat, the kitchen corner was equipped, so we could make small dishes. The furniture was old, but useable, fridge. A narrow ,but.long terrace where we dry clothes. AC in the living room worked silently.

Very small bathroom, everything wet after a shower. Internet slow, and sometimes not working. Still wonder about cleaning routines, sometimes they showed up, sometimes we did not see them fir some days.

Beginning. I booked the Serindi Apart Hotel from August 3 to August 14. I paid the hotel owner in cash. Somehow I got a receipt from him, where the amount was indicated and his signature on a small piece of paper. After 1 night at the hotel (I slept in the kitchen, because only there was air conditioning!!!), I developed bacterial conjunctivitis, one of the reasons was a dirty air conditioning filter, as I was told at the clinic. I stayed in the room for 4 days, because my face and eyes were swollen. During this time, at my request, a plumber and the owner came and constantly repaired the toilet and shower. The room was not ready for occupancy. After 2 days, I developed a rotavirus infection, the insurance company sent me the address of the clinic. I asked the girl at the reception for help in finding the address of the clinic, but she did not respond in any way. I had a high temperature at night, I was vomiting. I soiled a foot towel that was lying on the floor. In the morning, I washed the towel and put it in the shower to replace it when I came from the emergency clinic. They took me to the emergency room, examined me, gave me 2 IVs and brought me to the hotel. I felt really bad. When I went up to my room, the door was open, the maid was standing on the threshold and she started yelling at me (!!!) that I had problems. She showed me this towel and the 2 beds I slept on. And she said that she would not clean at all. And this was the first cleaning in a week!!! I did not have the strength to argue with her. In the evening, when I came to my senses after the IVs, I went down to the owner. I asked him to clean the room and throw out the trash. The owner showed me a photo of this towel and refused. I said that I would ask Booking.com for protection, but what he answered me, so write. He was not afraid of anything, the booking site is not an authority for him. In the evening, I accidentally saw the email a unilaterally changed booking by the hotel until August 8!!!!

Continue of my history. After that, I wrote a letter to Booking.com asking for protection and a full refund for this booking. There was no response from Booking, but I received a response from the hotel about changing the booking until August 9 and about a refund for the remaining days. The owner of the hotel did not come to me, did not talk, although he was sitting on the first floor of the hotel, and I lived on the 5th floor. This situation is criminal, requires consideration in the Ministry of Culture of Turkey and the court. A sick person was thrown out on the street in a foreign country after paying for hotel services. Shame on all of Turkey!!! I ask the Booking.com platform to impose penalties on the Serindi Apart Hotel.

The apartment itself was quite nice—spacious and well-furnished with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Cleopatra Beach, which was a major plus for us. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made it easy to prepare meals during our stay.

However, the service left much to be desired. We had booked a double room, but upon arrival, we were given a twin room instead. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, we were met with a dismissive response. The employee we spoke to simply said, "I don't care, there is no other room," without offering any apology or solution. It was clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority. To add to the disappointment, we discovered a very unpleasant surprise in the kitchen—a saucepan in the cupboard that had something rotten inside, emitting a horrible smell. It was clear that the cleaner had not checked the dishes properly before our arrival.

I was here in winter, had nice experience. But summer a bit different. same good location nice staff very clean you can use wash machine and iron every day cleaning if you need

too noisy in summer. melody bar, karaoke and loud music 15m from hotel will not let you sleep till 1.00am at night for sure. climatic system needs to be cleaned, you can clearly smell mold. toilet ventilation needs to be done too.
