Pretty solid B&B. Friendly and welcoming host. Clean and comfortable. Lovely location, just a shame it was in the middle of a storm so couldn’t appreciate the area. Was upgraded to a slightly bigger room. Only real downsides for me is there was no desk or chair to work at and was asked to check out half an hour earlier than the booking stated. I would return, but would also appreciate a veggie/vegan breakfast being offered.

Everything, it was in a beautiful Village, we was made to feel welcome from the minute we turned up, any questions we asked were answered. We had a room that over looked the river, which was beautiful and it snowed over night so the view was even better. Breakfast was great with a warm and homely atmosphere. Loved it!!

Great location between the River Trent and the Trent & Mersey Canal for a canal-side walk and visit a few local pubs and restaurants. Lovely welcome by hosts, our room was spacious, very clean and had a marvelous view of the Trent flowing by. Breakfast was great, we would recommend the Holden House and will be returning there in the very near future
