Red Roof Inn Baton Rouge

First room we got smelled like smoke so they switched us. Then at 2am someone tried to get into our room. They assigned it to someone else thinking it was vacant. Also no continental breakfast. Just a bag containing water, juice, a bar and fruit cup.

The stay was okay. There were a couple of things- a desk in the room with no chair to sit at. Refrigerator opens the wrong way to actually access it since it is wedged between the kitchenette and the bed (yes doors can be reversed). No bedside lamps, only that can lights in the high ceiling so you can’t have a person reading without being a nuisance to the other. There were either rust or fecal in the bathtub and a dead roach on the floor because they didn’t sweep behind the door. And cigarette burns in the bedspread…in a no smoking hotel.

We showed up around 10pm and the front desk man was so polite. He greeted me was pleasant and answered my questions I had without attitude which I have experienced a lot on our road trip. There was 5 of us all together and only 2 towels so I called and asked for more. I had no issues getting more towels which other hotels have told us to deal with it. The only thing I did not like was the area. People walking around everywhere. But the man assured us we were safe. The room was clean the only thing was the beds were pretty small. But other than that it was a nice stay.

Room booked as part of a road trip to comeback home. The hotel didn’t want me to check in or pay because I’m 20. I checked in 3 different hotels the previous day without any issue IT’S a joke.

It smelled strongly of bleach but tub was still not clean. Found dead bug in the floor. No notice that a mask policy had been reinstated so went in without it. Breakfast was a zero choice go back that was not diabetic friendly.

My daughter and I were traveling through and decided to take a chance on this hotel since it was close to the highway. It had mixed reviews and we should have listened to the poor ones. Our first room had 3 large mold areas on the carpet and roaches. The smell was more than my asthmatic daughter could handle. The young lady at the front desk changed us to a different room. We opted for upper floor in hopes it would be better. It was, but it was far from clean. The area was sketchy and we didn’t feel very safe. We actually considered leaving and paying extra to stay somewhere else. The next morning we had to find a place for breakfast as they weren’t serving any. I would not recommend this hotel.

Unclean. Terrible marijuana smell. Poor service. Never again.

good location room needs to be cleaner
